Aircraft was at 300 KTS at 9700 ft. Crew leveled at 10000 ft, slowed to 250 KTS, then continued descent to 9000 ft. Level at 9000 ft, aircraft descended to 8400 ft prior to crew rectifying situation by immediately and aggressively correcting and climbing back to 9000 ft.

Narrative: ACFT WAS AT 300 KTS AT 9700 FT. CREW LEVELED AT 10000 FT, SLOWED TO 250 KTS, THEN CONTINUED DSCNT TO 9000 FT. LEVEL AT 9000 FT, ACFT DSNDED TO 8400 FT PRIOR TO CREW RECTIFYING SIT BY IMMEDIATELY AND AGGRESSIVELY CORRECTING AND CLBING BACK TO 9000 FT.
