Narrative:
On a flight between willow run, mi, and ft lauderdale executive, fl, we observed a sudden bang. On observing the pressurization, the cabin altitude began to rise slightly. We immediately requested a descent and began the memory items. During this time, we noticed the left engine had failed, and immediately declared an emergency. Upon reaching FL250, we secured the engine. After about 5 mins, we attempted a restart (windmill). Upon a successful engine restart, we advised ATC and with their permission, climbed to FL350 and proceeded to fxe with no further problems and normal indications. Our initial cruise altitude was FL410 and we had just began to experience moderate to heavy turbulence at the time of the engine failure.
