Narrative:

While being vectored for las ILS runway 25L at 6100 ft, we received a GPWS terrain warning in IMC. First officer (PF) disconnected the autoplt and climbed to 6900 ft. Advised ATC and resumed the approach. We phoned approach control on the ground, and they said the terrain warning is 'somewhat normal' approaching las from the wsw at that altitude (6100 ft) and position.
