Narrative:
I was running the aircraft to check if a #1 engine vibration problem had been fixed after performing maintenance task described in maintenance manual. With engine #1 at idle, no vibration was noted. I bumped the throttle up a little above idle to see if vibration would occur a little higher RPM. As soon as I noted RPM increase, I pulled throttle back to idle. However, the RPM had increased enough to move the aircraft forward moving chocks and contacting the jetway causing damage to inboard leading edge slat and engine pylon structure. Even though the parking brake was set, the aft did move forward. Instinctively I stepped on the brake pedals which had no effect because on the airbus normal brakes are inhibited with parking brake engaged.

Title: AN AIRBUS 319 PARKED AT GATE HAD #1 ENG RUNNING TO CHK ENG VIBRATION WHEN THROTTLE ADVANCED ABOVE IDLE PWR, THE AIRPLANE MOVED FORWARD STRIKING A JETWAY.
