Narrative:
On approach to dca (river visual runway 19) at approximately 4 DME and 2000 ft MSL, observed a dash 8 commuter at 3 O'clock position, co-altitude, and converging. TCASII immediately issued an RA commanding a climb. We climbed to 3000 ft MSL and continued to follow the potomac river sbound until dca approach commenced vectors for another approach to runway 19.

Narrative: ON APCH TO DCA (RIVER VISUAL RWY 19) AT APPROX 4 DME AND 2000 FT MSL, OBSERVED A DASH 8 COMMUTER AT 3 O'CLOCK POS, CO-ALT, AND CONVERGING. TCASII IMMEDIATELY ISSUED AN RA COMMANDING A CLB. WE CLBED TO 3000 FT MSL AND CONTINUED TO FOLLOW THE POTOMAC RIVER SBOUND UNTIL DCA APCH COMMENCED VECTORS FOR ANOTHER APCH TO RWY 19.
