Narrative:
On this day our flight attendant jump seat was deferred, requiring the flight attendant to be seated in the last passenger seat. As a result, the weight and balance must be corrected for this change. This is the responsibility of the captain. Unfortunately, this correction was not accomplished until after takeoff. Once this new calculation took place, it was realized our center of gravity was out of limits. As we were already airborne, there was very little we could do to correct the situation. In a situation such as this, our MEL offers very little guidance for recalculating the weight and balance with the flight attendant jump seat deferred. In the future, I believe our center of gravity calculators should also be placarded as a reminder when calculating the center of gravity.

Title: BAE4100 CAPT FAILED TO RECOMPUTE THE ACFT'S CTR OF GRAVITY (CTR OF BAL) PRIOR TO TKOF, TO SHOW THE RELOCATION OF THE CABIN ATTENDANT SEAT IN THE REAR OF THE ACFT INSTEAD OF THE FRONT.
Narrative: ON THIS DAY OUR FLT ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT WAS DEFERRED, REQUIRING THE FLT ATTENDANT TO BE SEATED IN THE LAST PAX SEAT. AS A RESULT, THE WT AND BAL MUST BE CORRECTED FOR THIS CHANGE. THIS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CAPT. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS CORRECTION WAS NOT ACCOMPLISHED UNTIL AFTER TKOF. ONCE THIS NEW CALCULATION TOOK PLACE, IT WAS REALIZED OUR CTR OF GRAVITY WAS OUT OF LIMITS. AS WE WERE ALREADY AIRBORNE, THERE WAS VERY LITTLE WE COULD DO TO CORRECT THE SIT. IN A SIT SUCH AS THIS, OUR MEL OFFERS VERY LITTLE GUIDANCE FOR RECALCULATING THE WT AND BAL WITH THE FLT ATTENDANT JUMP SEAT DEFERRED. IN THE FUTURE, I BELIEVE OUR CTR OF GRAVITY CALCULATORS SHOULD ALSO BE PLACARDED AS A REMINDER WHEN CALCULATING THE CTR OF GRAVITY.
