Narrative:
We were scheduled to fly from bhm. We performed the preflight and checked and verified navigation data. However, based on maintenance data obtained subsequent to that date, it appears that it is possible that the navigation data in the FMC may have been incorrect or non current. We discovered the possible error due to a maintenance report later on. If indeed the data was non current, it would have to be an inadvertent oversight on our part as a flight crew. If we missed it, it was our fault. I will pay much more attention to that particular aspect of the preflight to preclude it ever happening again.
