Narrative:
I was pilot on a traffic watch helicopter, participating in airshow and fireworks show. A tfr was in effect for that time and that area, which required non-participating aircraft to avoid the airspace. Since I was participating, having been a signatory to the LOA between the louisville ATCT and aerial participants, I was allowed to be in the area. I was following the LOA, which required radio contact with the controller for the airshow, as well as avoiding the airshow performing air box. At no time did I enter the airbox, lose contact with the air boss or violate any regulation to my knowledge. After landing, I was told that a previous pilot had been violated by the FAA for flying close to but not in the air box (north of the buildings of downtown ZZZ but still south of the air box). Since that was the route of flight I had used, I am filing this form. The only possible problem that might have occurred was my flying further north then was expected. This was my first time flying during airshow. When told of the expected route, I altered my route to the usual one south of downtown. I flew at or above the recommended altitude for helicopters (1000 ft MSL, 5OO ft AGL) the entire time.

Title: R22 HELI PLT INSISTS THAT HE WAS AUTHORIZED TO CONDUCT TRANSITION ABOUT AND AROUND TFR AIRSHOW AT ZZZ.
Narrative: I WAS PLT ON A TFC WATCH HELI, PARTICIPATING IN AIRSHOW AND FIREWORKS SHOW. A TFR WAS IN EFFECT FOR THAT TIME AND THAT AREA, WHICH REQUIRED NON-PARTICIPATING ACFT TO AVOID THE AIRSPACE. SINCE I WAS PARTICIPATING, HAVING BEEN A SIGNATORY TO THE LOA BTWN THE LOUISVILLE ATCT AND AERIAL PARTICIPANTS, I WAS ALLOWED TO BE IN THE AREA. I WAS FOLLOWING THE LOA, WHICH REQUIRED RADIO CONTACT WITH THE CTLR FOR THE AIRSHOW, AS WELL AS AVOIDING THE AIRSHOW PERFORMING AIR BOX. AT NO TIME DID I ENTER THE AIRBOX, LOSE CONTACT WITH THE AIR BOSS OR VIOLATE ANY REG TO MY KNOWLEDGE. AFTER LNDG, I WAS TOLD THAT A PREVIOUS PLT HAD BEEN VIOLATED BY THE FAA FOR FLYING CLOSE TO BUT NOT IN THE AIR BOX (N OF THE BUILDINGS OF DOWNTOWN ZZZ BUT STILL S OF THE AIR BOX). SINCE THAT WAS THE RTE OF FLT I HAD USED, I AM FILING THIS FORM. THE ONLY POSSIBLE PROB THAT MIGHT HAVE OCCURRED WAS MY FLYING FURTHER N THEN WAS EXPECTED. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME FLYING DURING AIRSHOW. WHEN TOLD OF THE EXPECTED RTE, I ALTERED MY RTE TO THE USUAL ONE S OF DOWNTOWN. I FLEW AT OR ABOVE THE RECOMMENDED ALT FOR HELIS (1000 FT MSL, 5OO FT AGL) THE ENTIRE TIME.
