Narrative:
We declared an emergency because we had smoke in the cockpit. The cabin air became contaminated and we started an emergency descent. The whole incident was picture perfect, but when I got home I heard rumors that I was not insured in the aircraft.

Title: A C414 PIC RPT OF SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT AND DECLARING AN EMER FOR DSCNT 5 MI SW OF I69, OH.
Narrative: WE DECLARED AN EMER BECAUSE WE HAD SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. THE CABIN AIR BECAME CONTAMINATED AND WE STARTED AN EMER DSCNT. THE WHOLE INCIDENT WAS PICTURE PERFECT, BUT WHEN I GOT HOME I HEARD RUMORS THAT I WAS NOT INSURED IN THE ACFT.
