Narrative:
Flight was filed on normal routing, A300. When flight arrived at ewr, aircraft had numerous mechanical write-ups and was delayed for repair. Aircraft finally pushed back 2 hours 16 mins late. This put the aircraft outside of the 1 hour limit with 1 engine inoperative to an airport. Sbbv tower was not notified to stay open.

Title: ACR DISPATCHER ALLOWS COMPANY ACR TO DEPART ON EXTENDED OVERWATER FLT WITHOUT ENSURING ARPT AT DEST WILL REMAIN OPEN.
Narrative: FLT WAS FILED ON NORMAL ROUTING, A300. WHEN FLT ARRIVED AT EWR, ACFT HAD NUMEROUS MECHANICAL WRITE-UPS AND WAS DELAYED FOR REPAIR. ACFT FINALLY PUSHED BACK 2 HRS 16 MINS LATE. THIS PUT THE ACFT OUTSIDE OF THE 1 HR LIMIT WITH 1 ENG INOP TO AN ARPT. SBBV TWR WAS NOT NOTIFIED TO STAY OPEN.
