Narrative:
Moving papers around the center console moved the pitch trim wheel on the autoplt. The slightest movement causes the autoplt to turn off altitude hold. At FL250 the altitude alarm sounded and was able to correct back to FL290. No conflict was noted by ATC. This has been a problem in the past. A fix would require depressing the altitude hold to off, then use the pitch trim on the autoplt.
