Narrative:

Inbound flight to bna. Below FL180, I went off ATC frequency to make the in-range call. Upon returning, captain informed me we were down to 10000 ft. Numerous thunderstorms and build-ups were in the area and passing over bna. As we looked for the best route to the field, the controller queried us about making guitr at 10000 ft. We realized we were high and stated that we would hurry down. The controller just said 'keep it safe' and we began deviations for the WX between us and bna. I understood we were cleared to 10000 ft, but missed the crossing restr at guitr, both verbally and on the page. The controller did not mention anything else and there were no conflicts with other aircraft.
