Right engine oil temperature was in the caution range for 15 mins. Oil quantity dropped from 14 quarts to 6 quarts. Performed precautionary engine shutdown per airline operating procedures. Declared an emergency, had emergency vehicles standing by, and landed at the nearest suitable airport (bna) on 1 engine.

Narrative: R ENG OIL TEMP WAS IN THE CAUTION RANGE FOR 15 MINS. OIL QUANTITY DROPPED FROM 14 QUARTS TO 6 QUARTS. PERFORMED PRECAUTIONARY ENG SHUTDOWN PER AIRLINE OPERATING PROCS. DECLARED AN EMER, HAD EMER VEHICLES STANDING BY, AND LANDED AT THE NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT (BNA) ON 1 ENG.
