Narrative:
Gear up landing on dry lake bed due to fuel mismgmnt. 2 souls on board, no injuries to persons. Aircraft damage includes propeller and flap hinges and 1 radio antenna. Aircraft raised by hand and gear extended. Towed to private property and secured. Landed using tip tank fuel. Did not switch to main tank for takeoff. Tip tank unported on takeoff causing fuel starvation approximately 80 ft MSL. Lowered nose, switched to mains, 3-5 seconds before gear-up landing. Caused by non use of landing checklist 'gump' and hurried. Distraction, departure, folded chart covering fuel valve on floor. Afterthoughts: should have extended gear instead of switching tanks. Very little time! Checklist! Checklist! Checklist!
