Narrative:

Upon landing in traverse city, mi (tvc), we had 10 mins to turn the airplane and continue on to escanaba. We had to fuel and took a delay for that. Both of the gate agents were at the back of the aircraft dealing with 24 checked bags that needed to be separated. After looking over my release and WX package, I realized my WX release for escanaba was not current. It was being faxed to the station. Rather than take a longer delay and wait for the agents to come to the front of the airplane, I went back to talk to them. It was raining and I was walking backwards talking to them. As I turned around to get back in the aircraft, I struck my head on the propeller. The situation occurred due to a lack of situational awareness and the need to hurry to complete a 10 min turn.
