Narrative:
ZLA gave us a crossing restr to cross itemm at FL250. We were at FL370. The 'a' flight attendant came into the cockpit to discuss a passenger issue. At about that time, ZLA asked if we would make the itemm restr. We said yes and the controller gave us a frequency change to ZAB. We started down and told ZAB we would not be able to make itemm at FL250. He said 'no problem' and gave us further descent to FL240. The remainder of the flight was uneventful.

Title: A B737-300 FO RPTED THAT THEY COULD NOT MAKE A XING RESTR GIVEN TO THEM BY ZLA BECAUSE OF A FLT ATTENDANT'S INTERRUPTION REGARDING A PAX ISSUE.
Narrative: ZLA GAVE US A XING RESTR TO CROSS ITEMM AT FL250. WE WERE AT FL370. THE 'A' FLT ATTENDANT CAME INTO THE COCKPIT TO DISCUSS A PAX ISSUE. AT ABOUT THAT TIME, ZLA ASKED IF WE WOULD MAKE THE ITEMM RESTR. WE SAID YES AND THE CTLR GAVE US A FREQ CHANGE TO ZAB. WE STARTED DOWN AND TOLD ZAB WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE ITEMM AT FL250. HE SAID 'NO PROB' AND GAVE US FURTHER DSCNT TO FL240. THE REMAINDER OF THE FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL.
