Narrative:
Tower controller behavior and attitude extremely unprofessional. We were cleared for takeoff behind a B757, without adequate wake turbulence separation (ie, less than 4 mi). In fact, the B757 had just lifted off when we received takeoff clearance. When I said we would need another 30 seconds, the tower controller said: 'you gotta be kidding.' he then directed us to clear the runway. While waiting for clearance back on the runway I noticed another incident of takeoff clearance being issued without adequate wake turbulence separation. This is an unsafe situation.

Title: A320 PIC REFUSES TKOF CLRNC FROM SFO LCL CTLR BEHIND A DEPARTING B757 DUE TO INSUFFICIENT WAKE TURB SPACING.
Narrative: TWR CTLR BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF BEHIND A B757, WITHOUT ADEQUATE WAKE TURB SEPARATION (IE, LESS THAN 4 MI). IN FACT, THE B757 HAD JUST LIFTED OFF WHEN WE RECEIVED TKOF CLRNC. WHEN I SAID WE WOULD NEED ANOTHER 30 SECONDS, THE TWR CTLR SAID: 'YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING.' HE THEN DIRECTED US TO CLR THE RWY. WHILE WAITING FOR CLRNC BACK ON THE RWY I NOTICED ANOTHER INCIDENT OF TKOF CLRNC BEING ISSUED WITHOUT ADEQUATE WAKE TURB SEPARATION. THIS IS AN UNSAFE SIT.
