Air Traffic Incident | Pilot Deviation |
Narrative:
Received clearance from sba ground control to taxi to runway 25. We mistakenly taxied to runway 07 and im the process cross runway 15L/right without clearance. No traffic was using runway 15L/right at the time. Sba tower observed our mistake and re-cleared us to taxi to runway 25. No other action was taken. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the followin information: that the crew had been to this airport previously in the same day. At that time they had used the opposite runway. Traffic was light. No reference was made to the airport chart during taxi. The first officer was busy taking care of secondary duties relative to weight and balance and aircraft performance computations during the taxi.
