Narrative:

Arrived for mid shift at XA30. All sectors were busy with very unusual traffic flows due to WX. The entire day was chaotic, but even on the mid shift, tmu was unable to organize a reasonable traffic flow. Dfw arrs were being rted head-on with aircraft deviating west around the storms. Apparently, tmu asked for help from other ctrs, but the 'command center' denied the requests. Therefore, the controllers were stuck with an unreasonable situation to straighten out. The dfw arrs were rerted up over the northwest corner post (bowie). Tmu could have had this done in ZAB but, instead, nothing was done and 4 sectors had to deal with these rertes through deviating traffic. We worked over 5 hours on the mid without a break. This lack of planning has occurred much too often recently, and controllers are left holding the bag. Also, dfw approach was told to give us 15 mi in trail, and as usual, they didn't comply. It seems the people in our building care more about the happiness of dfw approach control instead of the controllers here who are encouraged to accept unsafe traffic flows.

Title: ZFW CTLR WORKING MID SHIFT CONCERNED WITH TFC MGMNT FROM ZFW TMU D10 AND THE AIR TFC SYS COMMAND CTR.

Narrative: ARRIVED FOR MID SHIFT AT XA30. ALL SECTORS WERE BUSY WITH VERY UNUSUAL TFC FLOWS DUE TO WX. THE ENTIRE DAY WAS CHAOTIC, BUT EVEN ON THE MID SHIFT, TMU WAS UNABLE TO ORGANIZE A REASONABLE TFC FLOW. DFW ARRS WERE BEING RTED HEAD-ON WITH ACFT DEVIATING W AROUND THE STORMS. APPARENTLY, TMU ASKED FOR HELP FROM OTHER CTRS, BUT THE 'COMMAND CTR' DENIED THE REQUESTS. THEREFORE, THE CTLRS WERE STUCK WITH AN UNREASONABLE SIT TO STRAIGHTEN OUT. THE DFW ARRS WERE RERTED UP OVER THE NW CORNER POST (BOWIE). TMU COULD HAVE HAD THIS DONE IN ZAB BUT, INSTEAD, NOTHING WAS DONE AND 4 SECTORS HAD TO DEAL WITH THESE RERTES THROUGH DEVIATING TFC. WE WORKED OVER 5 HRS ON THE MID WITHOUT A BREAK. THIS LACK OF PLANNING HAS OCCURRED MUCH TOO OFTEN RECENTLY, AND CTLRS ARE LEFT HOLDING THE BAG. ALSO, DFW APCH WAS TOLD TO GIVE US 15 MI IN TRAIL, AND AS USUAL, THEY DIDN'T COMPLY. IT SEEMS THE PEOPLE IN OUR BUILDING CARE MORE ABOUT THE HAPPINESS OF DFW APCH CTL INSTEAD OF THE CTLRS HERE WHO ARE ENCOURAGED TO ACCEPT UNSAFE TFC FLOWS.
