Narrative:

On jun/xa/01 I changed the l-hand inboard flap transmitter. I performed the required maintenance manual checks, except I did not do the asymmetry check. During a functional check of the same inboard flap transmitter on aircraft, I realized I had forgot to do this portion of the test on aircraft.

Title: A B727-200 WAS RELEASED FOR SVC IN NON-COMPLIANCE WITH A TRAILING EDGE FLAP XMITTER REPLACED BUT WITH NOT ALL MANUAL TESTS COMPLETED.

Narrative: ON JUN/XA/01 I CHANGED THE L-HAND INBOARD FLAP XMITTER. I PERFORMED THE REQUIRED MAINT MANUAL CHKS, EXCEPT I DID NOT DO THE ASYMMETRY CHK. DURING A FUNCTIONAL CHK OF THE SAME INBOARD FLAP XMITTER ON ACFT, I REALIZED I HAD FORGOT TO DO THIS PORTION OF THE TEST ON ACFT.
