Narrative:
Our dispatch release stated 'int reserves/non overwater/class 1 airspace/route for night flts to insure proximity to airports open 24 hours.' we were on J1 between sjd and zlo, about 60 mi southeast of sjd, heading for zlo when we realized that we may be more than 50 mi from shore in a non overwater equipped aircraft. I have flown to gua for many yrs and have never received this routing from dispatch. I assumed it was a legal routing because the release stated 'non overwater' and did not realize that we might be illegal until 50 mi out of sjd. I elected to continue on the airway since I was not certain that we were illegal, and the safest course of action was to continue on J1 towards zlo. I am still not certain whether this was a legal routing. If I receive it again in the future, I will question dispatch about it before departing.

Narrative: OUR DISPATCH RELEASE STATED 'INT RESERVES/NON OVERWATER/CLASS 1 AIRSPACE/RTE FOR NIGHT FLTS TO INSURE PROX TO ARPTS OPEN 24 HRS.' WE WERE ON J1 BTWN SJD AND ZLO, ABOUT 60 MI SE OF SJD, HDG FOR ZLO WHEN WE REALIZED THAT WE MAY BE MORE THAN 50 MI FROM SHORE IN A NON OVERWATER EQUIPPED ACFT.
