Narrative:
We were told to cross intersection B at 10000 ft. The autoplt was engaged and navigating through the FMS with a crossing restr automatically entered at bored intersection. However, the aircraft grossly missed the crossing altitude by nearly 5000 ft. I was unclr as to our distance from bored intersection and was caught off guard.
