Narrative:
Flying VFR near airport area, practicing maneuvers with broken cloudiness. Ascended into a hazy area and noticed clouds were beginning to close around me. Headed toward a hole to descend through clouds. Haze increased and I continued towards the opening but wound up in a cloud. Immediately experienced vertigo and got into unusual attitude. Began recovery from unusual attitude when the windshield peeled off the plane. Broke out of clouds and stabilized aircraft. Practiced landing at 3000-4000 ft and proceeded to land airplane safety at local airport.
