Narrative:
Inbound to dfw we were rerouted to the jonez arrival. Approximately 10 DME from sassy we were told by ZFW that we had been given a clearance to cross sassy at 9000 ft. We never received that clearance and never read it back. We did a 360 degree turn, descended, and did an uneventful arrival to dfw.
