Narrative:
Took off from oxc. The clearance was to turn left to 180 degrees. We took off runway 36. On climb out while turning to 180 degrees, the copilot who was flying heard the center controller tell us to keep the turn in close. So he tightened the turn and started to lose altitude. I called altitude and he said 'I know.' then he pulled back and increased the rate of descent even more. I then put my hands on the controls as I told him to roll out of the turn. He rolled out of the turn and started to climb again. We were cleared to 3000 ft. We started our descent at 2800 ft. We rolled out of the turn and started to climb again about 2100 ft -- all before we were in radar contact.

Title: BE40 CREW LOST ALT IN A CTLR DIRECTED TURN.
Narrative: TOOK OFF FROM OXC. THE CLRNC WAS TO TURN L TO 180 DEGS. WE TOOK OFF RWY 36. ON CLBOUT WHILE TURNING TO 180 DEGS, THE COPLT WHO WAS FLYING HEARD THE CTR CTLR TELL US TO KEEP THE TURN IN CLOSE. SO HE TIGHTENED THE TURN AND STARTED TO LOSE ALT. I CALLED ALT AND HE SAID 'I KNOW.' THEN HE PULLED BACK AND INCREASED THE RATE OF DSCNT EVEN MORE. I THEN PUT MY HANDS ON THE CTLS AS I TOLD HIM TO ROLL OUT OF THE TURN. HE ROLLED OUT OF THE TURN AND STARTED TO CLB AGAIN. WE WERE CLRED TO 3000 FT. WE STARTED OUR DSCNT AT 2800 FT. WE ROLLED OUT OF THE TURN AND STARTED TO CLB AGAIN ABOUT 2100 FT -- ALL BEFORE WE WERE IN RADAR CONTACT.
