Advised by an FAA inspector, after arriving at the gate in jfk, that children were 'running up and down the aisle' during taxi in, approximately 43 mins from landing to gate. Inspector apparently said nothing to the flight attendants, despite his concern for the rules and passenger safety.

Title: AN MD88 CAPT WAS TOLD BY AN FAA INSPECTOR, AFTER ARRIVING AT THE GATE AT JFK, THAT CHILDREN WERE ALLOWED TO RUN UP AND DOWN THE AISLE DURING A 43 MIN TAXI IN TO THE GATE.
Narrative: ADVISED BY AN FAA INSPECTOR, AFTER ARRIVING AT THE GATE IN JFK, THAT CHILDREN WERE 'RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE AISLE' DURING TAXI IN, APPROX 43 MINS FROM LNDG TO GATE. INSPECTOR APPARENTLY SAID NOTHING TO THE FLT ATTENDANTS, DESPITE HIS CONCERN FOR THE RULES AND PAX SAFETY.
