Narrative:

Took a sightseeing flight around XA00 jul/wed/01 and jul/sat/01. Departed private strip, flew eastward to seabrook beach at an altitude of no less than 900 ft and 60 mph over the inland waterways. After reaching the southern end of seabrook beech, I turned north flying up the beach (approximately 1000 ft off my left wing) at an altitude of 50-150 ft over the water at a speed of approximately 50-55 mph. I continued flying north up the shoreline towards folly beach, flying the beaches in the same manner. North of folly beach, I made a right turn around a deserted lighthouse in front of morris island. I then headed southeast back towards folly beach passing over north folly beach at about 100 ft AGL. I then made a left turn offshore circling to gain altitude (400 ft AGL). At this point I headed inland towards jzi, climbing to pattern altitude. On both days I flew, I flew the same flight patterns and altitudes. Making proper transitions from offshore to inland areas would have prevented the problems that I have brought upon myself.

Title: PVT PLT FLIES 2 DIFFERENT ACFT ON 2 SEPARATE DAYS OVER THE SAME RTE AND IS BEING INVESTIGATED FOR LOW FLT OVER A POPULATED AREA E OF CHS, SC.

Narrative: TOOK A SIGHTSEEING FLT AROUND XA00 JUL/WED/01 AND JUL/SAT/01. DEPARTED PVT STRIP, FLEW EASTWARD TO SEABROOK BEACH AT AN ALT OF NO LESS THAN 900 FT AND 60 MPH OVER THE INLAND WATERWAYS. AFTER REACHING THE SOUTHERN END OF SEABROOK BEECH, I TURNED N FLYING UP THE BEACH (APPROX 1000 FT OFF MY L WING) AT AN ALT OF 50-150 FT OVER THE WATER AT A SPD OF APPROX 50-55 MPH. I CONTINUED FLYING N UP THE SHORELINE TOWARDS FOLLY BEACH, FLYING THE BEACHES IN THE SAME MANNER. N OF FOLLY BEACH, I MADE A R TURN AROUND A DESERTED LIGHTHOUSE IN FRONT OF MORRIS ISLAND. I THEN HEADED SE BACK TOWARDS FOLLY BEACH PASSING OVER N FOLLY BEACH AT ABOUT 100 FT AGL. I THEN MADE A L TURN OFFSHORE CIRCLING TO GAIN ALT (400 FT AGL). AT THIS POINT I HEADED INLAND TOWARDS JZI, CLBING TO PATTERN ALT. ON BOTH DAYS I FLEW, I FLEW THE SAME FLT PATTERNS AND ALTS. MAKING PROPER TRANSITIONS FROM OFFSHORE TO INLAND AREAS WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THE PROBS THAT I HAVE BROUGHT UPON MYSELF.
