Narrative:

As we climbed out of dfw, captain called back to see if there were 'hot smells' in aft portion of plane. We informed him it smelled like ovens were on (they were not on) and he informed us they were getting an air duct leak that made engine's temperature rise when engines were running on full power. We returned to dfw and airplane was removed from service. FYI, the plane had just returned to service after 1 1/2 days in maintenance facility trying to fix problem. Captain was great at including cabin crew in situation, used us as his eyes and ears, to help identify problem.
