Narrative:

On engine start out of yvr, ignitor switch selected right, right engine failed to start. Conferred with maintenance controller. Right ignitor not deferrable. Advised return to gate for maintenance. Contract maintenance was performed and signed off. Start on gate was successful. After subsequent pushback, right engine again failed to light off. Again returned to gate. Contract maintenance and maintenance controller recommended additional right engine start. Start at gate with right ignitor still selected was successful. Conferred with maintenance controller and contract maintenance and they concluded aircraft was mechanically sound to proceed. After landing in den, conferred with line maintenance and he recommended second write-up to ensure aircraft was checked once more.

Narrative: ON ENG START OUT OF YVR, IGNITOR SWITCH SELECTED R, R ENG FAILED TO START. CONFERRED WITH MAINT CTLR. R IGNITOR NOT DEFERRABLE. ADVISED RETURN TO GATE FOR MAINT. CONTRACT MAINT WAS PERFORMED AND SIGNED OFF. START ON GATE WAS SUCCESSFUL. AFTER SUBSEQUENT PUSHBACK, R ENG AGAIN FAILED TO LIGHT OFF. AGAIN RETURNED TO GATE. CONTRACT MAINT AND MAINT CTLR RECOMMENDED ADDITIONAL R ENG START. START AT GATE WITH R IGNITOR STILL SELECTED WAS SUCCESSFUL. CONFERRED WITH MAINT CTLR AND CONTRACT MAINT AND THEY CONCLUDED ACFT WAS MECHANICALLY SOUND TO PROCEED. AFTER LNDG IN DEN, CONFERRED WITH LINE MAINT AND HE RECOMMENDED SECOND WRITE-UP TO ENSURE ACFT WAS CHKED ONCE MORE.
