Flight air carrier X in dtw was boarded with passenger without the required number of flight attendants. We had 2 flight attendants and the flight required 3. On taxi out, we realized the mistake and we taxied back to the gate and boarded another flight attendant.

Title: A DC9 FLT CREW INADVERTENTLY LEFT THE GATE WITHOUT ENOUGH FLT ATTENDANTS ON BOARD FOR THE NUMBER OF PAX.
Narrative: FLT ACR X IN DTW WAS BOARDED WITH PAX WITHOUT THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF FLT ATTENDANTS. WE HAD 2 FLT ATTENDANTS AND THE FLT REQUIRED 3. ON TAXI OUT, WE REALIZED THE MISTAKE AND WE TAXIED BACK TO THE GATE AND BOARDED ANOTHER FLT ATTENDANT.
