Narrative:
Air carrier (air carrier flight XXX tpe direct nrt) en route at FL270 experienced loss of oil quantity in #2 engine and after completing all applicable procedures, elected to shut down, prior to loss of all oil quantity. Shut down #2 engine, notified ATC (tokyo control) air carrier dispatch and continued, with emergency declared for a 3-ENG approach and landing at nrt runway 34.

Narrative: ACR (ACR FLT XXX TPE DIRECT NRT) ENRTE AT FL270 EXPERIENCED LOSS OF OIL QUANTITY IN #2 ENG AND AFTER COMPLETING ALL APPLICABLE PROCS, ELECTED TO SHUT DOWN, PRIOR TO LOSS OF ALL OIL QUANTITY. SHUT DOWN #2 ENG, NOTIFIED ATC (TOKYO CTL) ACR DISPATCH AND CONTINUED, WITH EMER DECLARED FOR A 3-ENG APCH AND LNDG AT NRT RWY 34.
