Narrative:
Landing rollout with normal reverse indications. #1 engine thrust reverser indicated deployed after selecting normal thrust. Captain attempted to reset reverser by momentarily selecting reverse and then immediately restored the reverser. Engine overtemped and was shut down normally -- alleviating the situation.

Title: A DC10 FLT CREW TRIES TO STOW THE REVERSE THRUST, BUT IT STILL SHOWED DEPLOYED. AFTER TRYING AGAIN, THE ENG OVERHEATED.
Narrative: LNDG ROLLOUT WITH NORMAL REVERSE INDICATIONS. #1 ENG THRUST REVERSER INDICATED DEPLOYED AFTER SELECTING NORMAL THRUST. CAPT ATTEMPTED TO RESET REVERSER BY MOMENTARILY SELECTING REVERSE AND THEN IMMEDIATELY RESTORED THE REVERSER. ENG OVERTEMPED AND WAS SHUT DOWN NORMALLY -- ALLEVIATING THE SIT.
