Narrative:
A female pilot who brought aircraft in on that same morning told one of our flight attendants that the aircraft had severe problems with the oxygen system. Approximately 1/2 way between fiji and hnl we were informed that 1 oxygen pack was inoperative, a second one was working intermittently and that the 4TH one was being kept off in case of emergency. We were told that we may need to do a rapid descent if oxygen masks came down. I have asthma with breathing problems anyway, and felt a dull constant pain in the bottom of my chest as I was trying to breathe while on the aircraft.
