Narrative:
During a descent, miscalculated the crossing altitude. Entered wrong data into FMS for navigating 45 mi south of cgt at 11000 ft. The controller noticed we wouldn't make the crossing and asked us to do the best we can. We gave him 5000 ft FPM descent to 11000 ft MSL. Next time I will watch the key strokes on the FMS a lot closer.

Title: C560 ULTRA FLT CREW MIS-PROGRAMS THE FMC FOR A XING RESTR AND FAILS TO ACCOMPLISH THE CLRNC.
Narrative: DURING A DSCNT, MISCALCULATED THE XING ALT. ENTERED WRONG DATA INTO FMS FOR NAVING 45 MI S OF CGT AT 11000 FT. THE CTLR NOTICED WE WOULDN'T MAKE THE XING AND ASKED US TO DO THE BEST WE CAN. WE GAVE HIM 5000 FT FPM DSCNT TO 11000 FT MSL. NEXT TIME I WILL WATCH THE KEY STROKES ON THE FMS A LOT CLOSER.
