Narrative:

Ground control frequency at ord is blocked many times by xtalk. During taxi out to runway 32L at T10, I made a wrong turn as we were told to follow a company aircraft ahead and ground cut another, air carrier Z aircraft in line inbtwn us and the original aircraft. The ground control frequency had several cut out by other xmissions during the time we had already ground cut another air carrier west aircraft in line inbtwn us and the frequency step on's is exacerbated by not reading back taxi instructions to keep the frequency clear for the controller who is constantly transmitting. This is an unsatisfactory safety situation at ord that caught me on this and during taxi out in the same area for a flight 2 days later. Same first officer on crew noted this on another flight. Advise assign standard taxi routes when controller is excessively busy to cut down blockages to readback and confirm instructions.

Title: MD80 CREW HAD FREQ CONGESTION, BLOCKED FREQ, AND MISSED ORD GND CTL TAXI INSTRUCTIONS.

Narrative: GND CTL FREQ AT ORD IS BLOCKED MANY TIMES BY XTALK. DURING TAXI OUT TO RWY 32L AT T10, I MADE A WRONG TURN AS WE WERE TOLD TO FOLLOW A COMPANY ACFT AHEAD AND GND CUT ANOTHER, ACR Z ACFT IN LINE INBTWN US AND THE ORIGINAL ACFT. THE GND CTL FREQ HAD SEVERAL CUT OUT BY OTHER XMISSIONS DURING THE TIME WE HAD ALREADY GND CUT ANOTHER ACR W ACFT IN LINE INBTWN US AND THE FREQ STEP ON'S IS EXACERBATED BY NOT READING BACK TAXI INSTRUCTIONS TO KEEP THE FREQ CLR FOR THE CTLR WHO IS CONSTANTLY XMITTING. THIS IS AN UNSATISFACTORY SAFETY SIT AT ORD THAT CAUGHT ME ON THIS AND DURING TAXI OUT IN THE SAME AREA FOR A FLT 2 DAYS LATER. SAME FO ON CREW NOTED THIS ON ANOTHER FLT. ADVISE ASSIGN STANDARD TAXI ROUTES WHEN CTLR IS EXCESSIVELY BUSY TO CUT DOWN BLOCKAGES TO READBACK AND CONFIRM INSTRUCTIONS.
