Narrative:
3 aircraft involved. I issued a heading of 180 degrees to aircraft XXX intending to issue that heading for aircraft ZZZ. An aircraft read back the clearance to 180 degrees, but did not state the call sign. I responded by saying 'aircraft ZZZ roger.' I received no response from either aircraft. Needless to say after subsequent vectors and my error of saying the wrong call sign, an operational error occurred. If either one of the aircraft had said something initially it may have broken the next chain of events.

Narrative: 3 ACFT INVOLVED. I ISSUED A HDG OF 180 DEGS TO ACFT XXX INTENDING TO ISSUE THAT HDG FOR ACFT ZZZ. AN ACFT READ BACK THE CLRNC TO 180 DEGS, BUT DID NOT STATE THE CALL SIGN. I RESPONDED BY SAYING 'ACFT ZZZ ROGER.' I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE FROM EITHER ACFT. NEEDLESS TO SAY AFTER SUBSEQUENT VECTORS AND MY ERROR OF SAYING THE WRONG CALL SIGN, AN OPERROR OCCURRED. IF EITHER ONE OF THE ACFT HAD SAID SOMETHING INITIALLY IT MAY HAVE BROKEN THE NEXT CHAIN OF EVENTS.
