Narrative:
While taxiing into position at ile (runway 1), a C172 was turning a high close-in right base to final for the runway. The cessna promptly called 'going around.' we had been listening to unicom during the taxi out and called for traffic before entering the runway. There were never any replies and we never heard any calls while taxiing out. We tried to contact the cessna several times and he finally replied after approximately 3 xmissions. I could not see the cessna before entering the runway because he was behind me and to my left.
