Narrative:
Ground -- taxi runway 24. Stopped at runways 24/28, they are at the same hold short. Tower -- flight will be delayed for takeoff by zle. 1 min later, 3000 ft not 10000 ft in clearance, turn left 220 degrees, cleared for takeoff. Tower called, you took runway 28 not runway 24, turn left 200 degrees. We were embarrassed and I apologized. The intersecting runways need a better marking. Tower could give a heads up. I know we were not the first. I set the takeoff runway to my heading bug. When we received the heading to turn to, I set the heading bug to 220 degrees therefore the bug not being aligned with my runway gave me no concern. New copilot and I were not monitoring as well as I should. A great reminder even with a crew I will pay more attention to runway of takeoff.
