Narrative:
I first landed at norwood airport at about XA15 to stop in at a nearby pilot shop. After landing on runway 10, I turned off on taxiway F and was told by the tower to stay on his frequency and taxi to parking. As I taxied, I noticed that I would need to cross runway 35 to get to parking. When I got to the intersection of taxiway east and runway 35, I asked tower to confirm that I was cleared to cross runway 35. There was no response, so I queried him again. Finally after I asked a third time, he asked in an annoyed tone 'did I say hold short?' then I crossed the runway and taxied to the FBO. About 30 mins later, I was ready to depart back to bed and so I called ground and told him 'ready to taxi.' the same controller who I spoke with earlier (I think he was the only one in the tower) told me to taxi to runway 10. I began to taxi and turned onto taxiway east and started to cross runway 35 towards the end of runway 28, which I thought was runway 10. The controller told me to stop after I crossed the hold short line for runway 35. He then directed md to take a left and then another left and turn onto the taxiway. There I proceeded to do my run-up and then I departed the airport. Contributing factors: there was no other traffic, so I did not see a flow of traffic towards runway 10 or see any traffic waiting to depart runway 10. Had I seen traffic, I might have thought more about what direction I was heading in. I was somewhat rushed because I wanted to get home for dinner and WX appeared to be moving in from the south. The arrogant attitude of the controller during my taxi to parking made me less likely to ask for progressive instructions or other help that might have assisted me at an unfamiliar airport. Had he been more professional, I would have been less intimidated and more willing to ask for help.

Title: C172 PLT INADVERTENTLY TAXIED PAT HOLD SHORT LINE DURING TAXI OUT AFTER MISTAKING THE RWY FOR THE RWY TO WHICH HE WAS CLRED. THE ATCT CTLR INTERVENED AND RTED HIM TO THE INTENDED RWY.
Narrative: I FIRST LANDED AT NORWOOD ARPT AT ABOUT XA15 TO STOP IN AT A NEARBY PLT SHOP. AFTER LNDG ON RWY 10, I TURNED OFF ON TXWY F AND WAS TOLD BY THE TWR TO STAY ON HIS FREQ AND TAXI TO PARKING. AS I TAXIED, I NOTICED THAT I WOULD NEED TO CROSS RWY 35 TO GET TO PARKING. WHEN I GOT TO THE INTXN OF TXWY E AND RWY 35, I ASKED TWR TO CONFIRM THAT I WAS CLRED TO CROSS RWY 35. THERE WAS NO RESPONSE, SO I QUERIED HIM AGAIN. FINALLY AFTER I ASKED A THIRD TIME, HE ASKED IN AN ANNOYED TONE 'DID I SAY HOLD SHORT?' THEN I CROSSED THE RWY AND TAXIED TO THE FBO. ABOUT 30 MINS LATER, I WAS READY TO DEPART BACK TO BED AND SO I CALLED GND AND TOLD HIM 'READY TO TAXI.' THE SAME CTLR WHO I SPOKE WITH EARLIER (I THINK HE WAS THE ONLY ONE IN THE TWR) TOLD ME TO TAXI TO RWY 10. I BEGAN TO TAXI AND TURNED ONTO TXWY E AND STARTED TO CROSS RWY 35 TOWARDS THE END OF RWY 28, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS RWY 10. THE CTLR TOLD ME TO STOP AFTER I CROSSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 35. HE THEN DIRECTED MD TO TAKE A L AND THEN ANOTHER L AND TURN ONTO THE TXWY. THERE I PROCEEDED TO DO MY RUN-UP AND THEN I DEPARTED THE ARPT. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: THERE WAS NO OTHER TFC, SO I DID NOT SEE A FLOW OF TFC TOWARDS RWY 10 OR SEE ANY TFC WAITING TO DEPART RWY 10. HAD I SEEN TFC, I MIGHT HAVE THOUGHT MORE ABOUT WHAT DIRECTION I WAS HDG IN. I WAS SOMEWHAT RUSHED BECAUSE I WANTED TO GET HOME FOR DINNER AND WX APPEARED TO BE MOVING IN FROM THE S. THE ARROGANT ATTITUDE OF THE CTLR DURING MY TAXI TO PARKING MADE ME LESS LIKELY TO ASK FOR PROGRESSIVE INSTRUCTIONS OR OTHER HELP THAT MIGHT HAVE ASSISTED ME AT AN UNFAMILIAR ARPT. HAD HE BEEN MORE PROFESSIONAL, I WOULD HAVE BEEN LESS INTIMIDATED AND MORE WILLING TO ASK FOR HELP.
