Narrative:

During oral (ground) portion of CFI-a chkride, the FAA inspector pointed out one of the airworthiness directive signoffs in the airframe log was missing the method of compliance and the time/date of the next inspection. Therefore, any pilot who flew the airplane was in violation of crash fire rescue equipment 91.417(a)(2)(V). Unfortunately, I had been regularly flying the airplane prior to the chkride. My check of maintenance records simply consisted of checking a status sheet, trusting the FBO to do their job of keeping good records. Pilots beware of this detail!
