Narrative:
On the early morning of aug/wed/01, approximately at XA09 my student and I were taxiing on lakeland linder regional airport. But, were reporting on the wrong CTAF frequency. During this time I thought that lakeland's tower was not operating, and was reporting on unicom frequency instead of the CTAF frequency because I put my student in charge of the radios and he misunderstood the frequency. Also I misunderstood the symbol on the airport facilities directory for tower operating hours mistaking it for standard time instead of daylight savings time which is XD00Z instead of XE00Z. Because of this, when I taxied to the runway, I saw a car on the surface, I taxied back and waited for it to clear. After I cleared I departed without contacting the tower, thinking that the airport was uncontrolled. Then the tower called me on unicom frequency and instructed me to land and given them a call.

Title: INSTRUCTOR PLT, WITH STUDENT, IN A CESSNA 152 TAXIED OUT AND TOOK OFF WITHOUT TWR CLRNC DUE TO BELIEVING THAT THE TWR WAS STILL CLOSED.
Narrative: ON THE EARLY MORNING OF AUG/WED/01, APPROX AT XA09 MY STUDENT AND I WERE TAXIING ON LAKELAND LINDER REGIONAL ARPT. BUT, WERE RPTING ON THE WRONG CTAF FREQ. DURING THIS TIME I THOUGHT THAT LAKELAND'S TWR WAS NOT OPERATING, AND WAS RPTING ON UNICOM FREQ INSTEAD OF THE CTAF FREQ BECAUSE I PUT MY STUDENT IN CHARGE OF THE RADIOS AND HE MISUNDERSTOOD THE FREQ. ALSO I MISUNDERSTOOD THE SYMBOL ON THE ARPT FACILITIES DIRECTORY FOR TWR OPERATING HOURS MISTAKING IT FOR STANDARD TIME INSTEAD OF DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME WHICH IS XD00Z INSTEAD OF XE00Z. BECAUSE OF THIS, WHEN I TAXIED TO THE RWY, I SAW A CAR ON THE SURFACE, I TAXIED BACK AND WAITED FOR IT TO CLR. AFTER I CLRED I DEPARTED WITHOUT CONTACTING THE TWR, THINKING THAT THE ARPT WAS UNCTLED. THEN THE TWR CALLED ME ON UNICOM FREQ AND INSTRUCTED ME TO LAND AND GIVEN THEM A CALL.
