Narrative:

I fly an ambulance helicopter with 12 hour duty shifts. We are allowed maximum of 14 hour duty day. Yesterday, I took a mission at the end of my shift in ZZZ1, approximately 60 NM from our base. When we got there, they wanted us to shuttle 2 passenger back to back, to a ZZZ hospital. After consulting with my crew and doing quick mental calculations, I thought I could complete flts and be back home before hitting my 14 hours. As it turned out, I was 22 mins late in getting back. (Things took a little longer than I expected.)
