Narrative:
On aug/thu/01 I was given an inboard fore flap to repair the upper surface skin. After assembly of my repair parts, I was ready to use the hot bonder as I have done in the past when my lead man came up to me and told me to use the oven on this repair. I told him I did not want to and I thought the machine was not ready to use because they have had many problems with it in the past. He said they had fixed all the problems and it was calibrated. I know for sure that the temperature sensing wires are not as supplied by the company who it was purchased and certified. Lead technician was very forceful and I felt my job on the line, but still I asked him not to force me to use the oven. But still the same reply. He then said if I was afraid to use the oven that he would set up and run the machine. He then did, but before he did, I told him I wanted a second monitor and attached another machine to record its cook, and did still not please. That afternoon maintenance supervisor came up to me and asked me how the oven did and I thought it recorded well but I told him I was not happy the way the machine calibrated. The original sensor problem has been replaced with a single wire (terminal cable) and not to manufacturer's specifications, and found out then that lead technician had told his superior that the oven was fixed and is not. I have copies of statements of others who heard lead technician say he would take full responsibility for this cook. The problem is he made me sign the paperwork. Here are copies of their statements.
