Narrative:
Reported right engine N1 indicator flashed on takeoff lga aug/sun/01. You must bite edp (engine display panel) with engine running to retrieve engine exceedance data. With crew still onboard bite check shows right engine N1 just below 103%. Keep in mind it's a rolling digital tape not read in decimals. I look to my left, inches from the captain's face. What do you see? He said 102.8. I looked to my right, inches from the copilot's face. What do you see? He said 102.8. That's what I saw, 102.8. There was no question it was below 103%. Was it 102.7 or 102.8 or 102.9. We all three agreed it was 102.8. All other parameters were reported normal. No other exceedances were seen on the edp bite check. Replaced edp and fdr (flight data recorder). Followed procedures. Ran engines at takeoff power for 3 mins per handbook. Both N1's at 95.5%. Later that day fdr read to show right N1 to be 103.3% with F/F and egt high. That's not what the edp showed. I responded to the information I had.
