Narrative:
On a flight into sjc the flight attendant advised the first aid was used. I wrote so in the maintenance logbook. Upon arrival I looked at the first aid kit in the airplane and saw the seal was not broken, so I asked a flight attendant if the kit was used. She said a band aid was taken from a storage container and not from the kit. So I wrote void on the log entry. On the next leg I discovered the kit was actually used and replaced. The logbook should have reflected the replacement. In the future I will have all the flight attendants come together and clarify any misunderstandings.
