Narrative:
Catering accidentally deployed R-1 slide. I called our control center and they ordered a new slide. We installed the slide and dispatched the aircraft. Upon entering the paperwork, we discovered we had installed the wrong part number on the aircraft. I then contacted maintenance control, at which time they informed me that they would correct the problem in YYY, which they did.
