Narrative:

Landing by copilot was firm but within normal parameters. Autospoilers deployed then immediately retracted causing us to lift off the runway. Pitch remained steady and second landing was better than first. Captain manually redeployed spoilers manually. No other problems noted. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the landing was in the normal parameters and the ground spoilers deployed normally then immediately retracted disarming the autobrake system. The reporter said the ground spoilers were deployed manually and remained extended. The reporter said the carrier has made a request to report any ground spoiler malfunctions. The reporter said maintenance checked the ground spoiler system and the system checked ok.

Title: AN MD-80 MADE A FIRM LNDG BUT WITHIN PARAMETERS. GND AUTOSPOILERS DEPLOYED THEN IMMEDIATELY RETRACTED. SPOILERS WERE DEPLOYED MANUALLY.

Narrative: LNDG BY COPLT WAS FIRM BUT WITHIN NORMAL PARAMETERS. AUTOSPOILERS DEPLOYED THEN IMMEDIATELY RETRACTED CAUSING US TO LIFT OFF THE RWY. PITCH REMAINED STEADY AND SECOND LNDG WAS BETTER THAN FIRST. CAPT MANUALLY REDEPLOYED SPOILERS MANUALLY. NO OTHER PROBS NOTED. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE LNDG WAS IN THE NORMAL PARAMETERS AND THE GND SPOILERS DEPLOYED NORMALLY THEN IMMEDIATELY RETRACTED DISARMING THE AUTOBRAKE SYSTEM. THE RPTR SAID THE GND SPOILERS WERE DEPLOYED MANUALLY AND REMAINED EXTENDED. THE RPTR SAID THE CARRIER HAS MADE A REQUEST TO RPT ANY GND SPOILER MALFUNCTIONS. THE RPTR SAID MAINT CHECKED THE GND SPOILER SYS AND THE SYS CHECKED OK.
