Narrative:
In cruise at FL310 with FL280 on request, I was PF and captain heard and read back clearance 'descend to FL280 then pilot's discretion to FL240.' passing FL285 we were asked if we got another altitude assignment. We said yes and told ATC we read back the above clearance. ATC said that was for another aircraft and cleared us to remain at FL280.

Narrative: IN CRUISE AT FL310 WITH FL280 ON REQUEST, I WAS PF AND CAPT HEARD AND READ BACK CLRNC 'DSND TO FL280 THEN PLT'S DISCRETION TO FL240.'
