An FAA inspector in training advises an air carrier crew after the flight that he observed several violations that would not be pursued. One included a passenger out of his seat during taxi.

Narrative:
Location, on the ramp at ind, taxi pre-takeoff. During boarding a gentleman stopped by the cockpit to introduce himself. He stated that he was an inspector with the department of transportation but was traveling on a purchased ticket. After receiving the cabin ready report from the #1 flight attendant we pushed off the gate and completed what we thought was an uneventful flight to dfw. Upon reaching the gate, the inspector pulled our #1 flight attendant aside and then entered the cockpit to inform us that he had observed several violations to the far's. He stated that he was not a licensed inspector, but one who was in training and therefore couldn't pursue the violations. Upon investigation we determined that after we had started our push the flight attendants discovered a man with a heavy bag that hadn't been properly stowed. During our push he apparently got up and walked up the aisle to stow his bag. We were never informed of this until after the flight.

Title: AN FAA INSPECTOR IN TRAINING ADVISES AN ACR CREW AFTER THE FLT THAT HE OBSERVED SEVERAL VIOLATIONS THAT WOULD NOT BE PURSUED. ONE INCLUDED A PAX OUT OF HIS SEAT DURING TAXI.
Narrative: LOCATION, ON THE RAMP AT IND, TAXI PRE-TKOF. DURING BOARDING A GENTLEMAN STOPPED BY THE COCKPIT TO INTRODUCE HIMSELF.
