Narrative:
I was bringing my airplane back from chatam, ma, after being grounded by recent incidents. Using my GPS only at 2300 ft it indicated I was clear of boston airspace. I was however in the new extended airspace. I realize now that my GPS was not upgraded to reflect the new rules. I reported to boston's chief upon landing. I was picked up by boston when I contacted mht approach. I changed from 1200 on my transponder to the assigned frequency. I was told that I was being warned to check NOTAMS and comply in the future. I make this report to remind pilots to get GPS's updated and use charts.
